Just read an article on LifeHacker, which can be useful for such purposes. It tells about a site AudioTag, where you can upload the file, or even give it the YouTube URL, and it will bring you matches for that song.

Ha-ha - yeah My trouble is I can never remember these things and I never remember to right them down. I've accumulated a lifetime of rubbish in my head which I guess is some use some time but the good one-liners just don't seem to stay there.

Can anyone help with an old football song that came out for the 70 world cup,

Back Home was the official song but there was another and all I remember is:

It mentioned a few of the England Squad passing to each other then came the words "Martin to Ossie and bang"

It was ----------to ----------/ ----------to----------then "Martin to Ossie and bang"

The last two being Martin Peters and Peter Osgood.

I would much appreciate any help with this, I have tried all the search engines and asked on a couple of football sites but no help yet.

Could someone recommend one or more of the better 'song lyrics' look-up websites? Googling comes up with so many choices that it is difficult to choose which may be 'safe', even though I do use WOT.

I keep a folder named LightBulb just for this reason. I try to make a point and go back and look at them a second time later. Editing is a good thing.
