Chrome, for improving my browsing speed. Reading Gizmo's freeware forums is much faster now. Better still, now it works either on Linux and Windows. I also like MSE, but that's when I'm working on Windows.
So comparing the two, you know which one I voted for.

Tough to choose one freeware from the list... many good softwares there.
I voted for PC Tools Firewall. I have been using it for sometime, and in the present year, it has improved tremendously. It has given a choice to firewall users, which is good for average users as well. Just recently, it had a perfect score at Matousec Firewall Tests, along with Comodo Firewall. Comodo is another solid product but its considered good for experienced users. PC Tools has proved excellent, but average users can also use it without problems. So, based on these aspects, I gave my vote for the present year to PC Tools Firewall. MSE, Comodo Firewall, PicPick, Avast, Firefox were my other choices.
