To me, a software suite is a collection of software. It's vast, it can contain many software products. Like OpenDisc, which "offers for free a wonderful collection of just about every application software product you need to run a PC...", as mentioned in

A software suite can be useful for me to install all free software products needed, say onto a new PC, at one go, instead of one by one. But another interest is to see how many programs I need in a suite. So it depends how good the software suite that can suit my need.
I'd expect a good software suite installer to allow users not only to choose the size (the number of software products), but also to select individual software I need to install. Just like when I install an Office suite, I can select not to install Access, One Note, etc. It's a downside for Liberkey not allowing you to pick and choose what programs in each size.
Perhaps someone can shed some more light on this.
