I miss the old newsletter too. When I heard how Gizmo was treated by Windows Secrets I just stopped going there, at least regularly, and haven't found anything to hold me on my few visits there since. I appreciate how things have to move on and how some things become too much for one man (or a few men) but I miss the old one really, really terribly. This is a great site, with great people, and I enjoy being part of it. (Although I wish I had more time to devote to it). I still feel that the old style newsletter had (has) its place in things. I waited eagerly each month for it to come out. (As did my 42 year old son). Everything for almost everybody was there in one place for one great read. Each month there was always something for you, whatever level of expertise you had. My son never visits here or the main site. He just waits for me to pass on any snippet I think is appropriate. He finds it too tedious and boring to plough through. I know the focus here is slightly different and its great on content but my point really is that its a shame someone couldn't take up the mantle that Gizmo left behind. Sorry, I'm rambling. To sum up: Windows Secrets - as far as I'm concerned - forget it. This forum and the main site - great stuff for those of us who want it. (I do, I do!). The old newsletter - equally great stuff and sadly missed. I only wish Gizmo had had the time to jot down the notes for the meat of the old newsletter each month and let one of us do the work of typing it up and putting it out. I would gladly find the time to do that but it would probably take too much of his time to collate the technical side of the notes to be put together. I read lots of similar but absolutely none has the interest and readability of Gizmo's. Why do all these folks with great ideas and talent always move on to their next (admittedly great) project and leave us with a sad sense of loss?
