That's true - you can still have the program for free, but not the cloud connection so effectively you will be disconnected from the malware network and reliant solely on whatever local cache has been retained by your system. In terms of what this means - considerably reduced protection! If you don't want to pay for the "collective intelligence" stick with Avira or Avast
