I'm always wary of this type of thing because there's often more behind it than might be obvious.
"There are currently some issues with the NetSpeedMonitor installation process and some Virus protection software. If NetSpeedMonitor is not available in the Taskbar's Toolbar menu and you don't want to deactivate your Virus protection during installation, you have to execute the following command:
regsvr32 "C:/Program Files/NetSpeedMonitor/nsm.dll"
I'm not sure about the x64 support because although my machine is capable I prefer to run Windows 7 x32, but I find Cool Beans System Info ideal because you can remove whichever sensors you don't need from the main group (including the summary strip underneath) or even separate out the monitors. I use the "large digital" network display option which I position just above my task bar.
