Ha ha Hardford, you offer a good comment with your charmingly direct writing style.

I've certainly at times in the past been guilty of going off into tweakland and not getting the laundry done.

For me, computing (including "tweaking" now and then) is not just a productive tool but is a hobby.

I have other hobbies too, mind you. I just can't remember what they are off the top of my head.

IMO, tweaking is secondary to enjoying and learning how to use all the good features.

Much tweaking isn't necessary after the computer user has explored the Contral Panel and [Start]->[Programs]->[Accessories].

I'm old school. My Vista is not the default goofy style but the style that looks as much as possible as "explorer" dagnabbit.
