All the free fax services are hammed by popularity, spam, or daily limits. I've tried so many now an it's the same all over.
Typically they put out an advertisement as the first page of your fax, and I haven't seen anything to control the Ad so you could be faxing a customer and an Ad for the competition will be the first page!!
What you'll find though is that the best companies aren't giving out anything free. I just signed a friend up for email fax with one of the pay-to-use companies and he's really happy with the service and since he's using for work he says that it's totally worth the bux to get all the confirmations, remote storage, and mass-fax functions that he's getting.
If anyone finds a service that's giving you control and it's still free, please let me know as I'm on the brink of signing up to pay too..
