Freewebhostingarea.com review
This is an advert-supported service, ie they run ads on your pages. These can be removed with an upgrade, only $1 per month. This will be needed on any serious site. Also they have more restrictions than 000webhost.
The server I checked was in Dallas TX.
It is a good set up though, and will suit private, non-commercial site owners. Large webspace and very high bandwidth alowance (up to 5GB per day and more allowable if needed), 1 database provided. Choice of servers with register_globals on or off - suits various dynamic sites, reg globals ON may be needed for old apps.
Their ToS infers that they basically own all your content and can use it how they wish, which is OK for private sites I guess.
There is a max filesize of 10MB, so they won't need to worry about you serving streaming media or anything like that. Hard to see how you'd burn 150GB a month bandwidth!
The FWHA front page is a scruffy homebuilt job that doesn't give confidence, but it's an el cheapo service I guess.
I didn't get an account here to test it out because (a) I don't want their ads on my pages, and (b), the next on the list, Zymic, looks far more attractive.
