ps. my apoligies if this has been covered before.
I've had the same problems. The reason it's detected is because of the RelevantKnowledge included in the standard installation. Even if you did not install RK, SUMO is still detected as a threat.
I've e-mailed them about this before, but they just told me to add SUMO in the whitelist. That seems to be the only solution for now.
