If you try to download Nuance Pdf Reader from the above page, it will ask you for the details, like name, country, email address. Some people might not like to provide that.

The above page has a small review too. Here is what it says about the conversion feature :

The document conversion feature, which jumps you from the Nuance PDF reader interface to the Nuance Web site, does a good job of converting to Microsoft Word's DOCX. That's a big win, however, lesser formats such as RTF don't convert as cleanly. Still, the successful free conversion to DOCX is a major coup for Nuance.

So, it looks like the conversion feature takes you to a web interface, and is not a part of the reader. I think individual software which perform the same job, and can be installed, would be better in this case. However, I haven't checked the converter myself, and its always good to know about different options available.
