I'm not sure whether this post adds any value to this thread or not, but I'll put it up here and MC can remove it if he so chooses.

I'm running Panda Cloud AV 1.01 on my old XP SP3 box and have experienced no installation issues, no cpu spikes, no conflicts of any nature. I have not done any malware testing, but like how light it is on my system compared to Avast and MSE. And no nag or pop up windows.
