After my ordeal with 1&1 I began to do some deep research into the "bigger" companies many that have already been mentioned. I was probably a little shell shocked, so I was leery of another mega-budget-host provider. Though I found some that had pretty good ratings among their customers, I was looking for a near perfect score. I began to look into some of the smaller companies that had been around for good number of years, but most of them came a with a premium price.
Then I ran across a small to medium size company that looked interesting. Began to look for customer reviews, and I could not hardly believe all the positive things being said about them. Out of hundreds of reviews I only found 5 or 6 bad ones. Most of the reasons the complainers gave were lame and sounded like it was their first hosting experience. I saw that they had on-line chat support so (call me evil if you wish) I started a session and began to ask all kinds of irritating and stupid questions, and really gave the guy a hard time. You could tell he was a little exasperated, but was polite and helpful with every answer. After doing this for a while I told him I had done it on purpose to test the quality of the customer support, and that I had come from a bad situation with my last host. He thought my method was humorous and original. Every experience with customer support since then has been exactly the same. In fact if you go to the forum and make a post or complain about anything, the owner of the company himself often answers and helps you resolve the problem. I have had 99.9% uptime over the past two years.
So here are the details of the hosting account I use.
