Hi,
New member, and probably infrequent poster. I've lurked on the forum for a couple days to seek a solution for the AntiVir update issue, then I find this IOBit fiasco that has been quite the internet soap opera. I just wanted to say that I admire your restraint in not rushing to judge the issue. In my research last night, I decided to uninstall all things IOBit. In the past I've had unsatisfactory results with Smart Defrag and Advanced System Care. I'll sort of miss Game Booster, though. All it did was shut a bunch of Windows services down that I could have done manually, and possibly run the game in high priority mode. When I went to their website I found it to be very unprofessional, and found they had posted a link to a known malware file for average users to test the effectiveness of their product.

I realize that is the way experienced malware hunters test their programs, but to give that to the general public defies good sense. By their own admission it was a legit malware file, not the phonies that Malwarebytes created to catch them. I don't intend to fan any more flames, but once I saw that on their own site it was goodbye to IOBit for me. Sometimes an internet witch hunt finds a real witch.
P.S Sorry for the overly long first post.
