I had had the 74 version of pc tools firewall plus and it seemed to block avast from updating for a couple of days. Finally had to manually update avast. I have since moved back to comodo firewall only and have no problems. It works very well with avast. Also tried O/A, outpost, private but always come back to comodo D+. And no am not a "comodo fan boy"
I stay away from all the forum politics there.
