If I'm honest, in my past life when I had less time I would not have bothered to learn how to work with Ubuntu. I'm not back-tracking now and saying that it's much more complicated than Windows because for many of the usual functions it's not, but for sure Windows is still very much "out of the box" whereas Linux is still very much "in your face".
I'm feeling even more of a dumbo now because I've since learned that I miss-read one of the windows during the upgrade process which offered to retain my network management settings or install the updated ones. Thinking "new" would be "better", all I succeeded in doing was wiping my Claro configs. So, if I had been more awake and less smart I could have had a perfect upgrade and not had to pay Son of Samba to come here tomorrow and fix it
