Auto-save works for me.
Try this: Right click at PicPick's tray icon, select Screen Capture -> Output Type, and tick "Save to Image File".
Even though "Copy to Clipboard" is unticked there but it will still be functional if "Always copy captured image to Clipboard" is ticked under Program Options -> Capture.
Sometimes the programmers can be illogical you know.
