date and time format can only be set globally in this forum software. However, I share your concern and must agree to the annoyance of this issue. I lived in Europe, USA and Canada and they do it all differently. The least I liked the wat the date is used in the US: month first, then day then the year. They use the middle unit first, the smallest unit second, the largest unit third. A nightmare for sorting. I personally would suggest YYYY-MM-DD - but that will only raise another endless discussion
Anyways, I changed the global date format now to "d. M Y" which I think should serve everyone equally well since the month name is spelled out. I hope that helps.
