Ah OK, so you were talking about KMPlayer. Maybe the file types you selected for the subtitles, KMPlayer does not support that. You should look for that problem on their forum, or maybe post your problem there.

I have not been using KMPlayer for some time, using VLC. But, I intend to use KMPlayer very soon. I have downloaded the latest version 1435. So, I am afraid I can't help you at the moment.

VLC also does not support .idx and .sub files.
.srt works quite well.
