Default Free music download

I don't know quite how these guys have got around it but Spotify is a good place to find a huge range of free music to download.

http://www.spotify.com/en/

There's a couple of problems which are a bit annoying but for free music I don't think you can complain:

The music can only be played whilst logged on to their site - you keep your own playlist on there, a bit like gmail
Unable to download on to iPod
after every few songs advertising for new albums comes on
If you open a new window it often starts the song you are listening to again from the start

You can pay and have no ads.

If anyone knows if it's possible to override it and change the format from spotify to Windows media please shout and let me know as then I may be able to keep them on my computer.

They have a huge range of music, there was only one track that I couldn't find - Ralph Mctell Streets of London, though they do have the Roger Whittaker version

I may be very open minded and couldn't give a diddlysquat what people think...most of the time...but sometimes you have to draw a line...apologies to all you Whistling Whittaker fans but no, I couldn't seriously put that version on my playlist and have him pop up after Debbie Harry.

It may be full of spyware but if you know anything about it please post.

Thank ye
