I can't wait to read about this. I'm also waiting to see the first advertisement or feature description of a memory optimizer that is based on something more concrete than a few screenshots and a handful of anecdotal evidence.
The only redeemable quality about free memory optimizers would be you don't have to throw away any money to try it out. Shame and scorn on the conmen who try to dupe the non technical users with perhaps underpowered computers into believing the smoke and mirrors is really making a difference.
One question - if it was so simple that a college student could whip up using Visual Basic and a few Windows API function calls - surely Microsoft would do the same and make memory issues a concern of the past.
The truth is freeware memory defraggers / optimizers / degreasers / turbo-dowhats are nothing more than the hi-tech snake-oil.
As Mark Twain said - "There is a sucker born every minute".
