Introduction
This is the launch page for the pages here at Gizmo's Tech Support Alert that list sites with free ebooks and audiobooks.
There are 3 pages that separate sites on the format of the ebooks, Kindle, ePub and Online reading.
There is a main page for both ebooks and audiobooks that lists all the sites carrying each. There are also pages of genre listings.
The genre pages that do not list an audiobook page, contain free audiobook links. I am working on this and eventually all the genre pages will have separate free ebook and free audiobook pages.
The sites within the free comic books and free motion comics pages are not included in the main ebook and audiobook pages.
To the best of my knowledge all of the websites listed here offer only content that they are legally entitled to transfer to you. If you find a site listed here that you know illegally offers copyrighted material, please contact me through the site with a link to the infringing content. Mr6n8
To the best of my knowledge every website listed here, and its downloads, are safe. By the rules of this site, no website that has a red or an orange rating at Web of Trust (WOT) is allowed in the listings. I also use LinkExtend, a browser addon that offers the ratings from six other website rating products, to verify the sites here are clean. I have never encountered any issue while visiting these sites. Additionally, I have downloaded something from every site that offers a download and have never encountered an issue. As of April 19, 2013, all pages have been updated and all links have been checked with LinkChecker and are working.
I will be unavailable for most of the time during the next month and usually will not be able to respond to posts.
However, I will be back after that, so any new sites or corrections to the listings that you post would be appreciated even though I may not be able to respond when you post.

I feature out of copyright works. Now the most recent book featured was .99 - but that is the first time in probably a year that I wrote about a book that was not free. It is the second volume of Proust. The first volume is free and that is how they hook you! : )
Thank you for considering my blog. It appeals to a narrow readership, but those who like out of copyright books have nowhere else to go to find books that are not the same top 100 and which have been vetted for conversion problems.
I already have that site listed at 97 Places For Free Kindle eBooks Online (Legally) as Kindle Classics Blogspot.
Also in the main page 672 Places For Free eBooks Online under the same name.

Steve, I think you should also make a similar consolidated list of all your torrent articles. It will really be helpful to find them in one place, and users will become more aware of them :).

Maybe I am the only one who cares but I sure would like to see a category for "Philosophy Books" The are NOT "Religion and Spirituality" books. That may be too technical a division for many of the website owners you list but it would sure help. There is a vast difference between the topic of revealed faith and belief compared to reason. If fact St Thomas Aquinas carefully worked out the difference at the start of his Summa Theologiae 800 years ago based on sound, deductive reasoning.
Pardon the lecture; I could have just said "Gee Whiz! A category for Philosopy Books would be nice." :)
I also appreciate the hard work to collect this sort of thing. It is not easy to keep up to the minute with it because websites come and go. Thank you!
Somewhere in the back of my mind is the thought that I started a Philosophy page, but could not find enough sites. Reasoning is not that popular.
I will take another look around after this round of updates as it is a good area that deserves a page.

Great list of free books. Libraries help our minds to stay fresh. Knowledge is power. But the right use of that power where good and evil divide.
