Introduction

This is a listing of sites that legally offer free books on Biographies, Autobiographies & Memoirs, for reading and listening (audio).

All of these sites listed have content that is legal for them to distribute.  If you find that any site listed is offering content that can not be legally transferred, please let me know in the comments below.

AudioBooks has Walden, Chapters From My Autobiography (Twain) and Childhood (Tolstoy) for download.  You must register (free) to download. 

LearnOutLoud has 99 free audio books of biographies and autobiographies, sub-categorized and available in different ways, including online listening, MP3 or MP4 as many link to other sites.  Also some videos.

LibriVox  has 109 free audio books under the biography category available for download in MP3 (64kb/128kb) or ogg vorbis.  All are human read.

Lit2Go has a few works under Biography search.  All are available for download in very good quality MP3.  They are also available for online reading.
