Software problems

I Setup a client to store his word doc on mappped network drive and it has been working fine for years with MS Office 2000 - MS Office 2003. Most of the documents are basic forms made with the form tool. 

We are running Win2K server, Win 2K and XP- on the LAN.

For some reason (intermitently) when he opens a file doc and adds to it, he can't save it do to lack of permission. He has to reanme the current doc, save and then go back and delete the previous original entry.

Has anyone seen this befor and if so, how do we cure the problem?

I downloaded IE8 a couple weeks ago and every thing has been smooth and fine, untill this morning. I went to to my Yahoo page and recieved a log on screen. It accepted my user name and password, but in little red letters it said "The browser you are using refuses to sign in.(cookies rejected)" I then went to internet options, and allowed all cookies..still same error message..whats up with this? Any solutions? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi there. I need help with my computer programs. My computer says at the lower right hand corner with a small icon says" Intelligent wireless LAN card not exist". My connection to the internet has been disrupted many times. For your info. my computer has been sent for repair bcoz all programs have been destroyed by IT Worms.

I need technical help to get my programs back to normal.

I ran the system recovery CD/DVD disk on my pc. When I tried to run the Driver and Utilities disk, the CDROM would not reconize the disk. I said that the disk was bad. The PC is a Emachines W2888 running windows XP Home edition.

Im really sruggling to figure out why I cant get vuze to work. I cant even ge onto their forum, do I have a virus??

I ran a test and it came up saying:

Ping test: No pings found

Route tests: No active routes found

Testing HHTP outbound: Failed

Testing TCP outbound: failed

The list is endless, what is going on???????

I have a good internet connection but Vuse (and Utorrent) wont download aything

I just setup ThreatFire on my system to which I am now using the Sunbelt Firewall and with the HIPs enabled it pretty much freaks out over ThreatFire. I went ahead and installed Sunbelt in simple mode to check it out for use with people I help with their computers. Is there a way that you can add ThreatFire to a list in Sunbelt so that it doesn't think its under attack? Thanx for any help in this matter.

whenever i try to see online videos on sites like veoh.com,youtube etc in full screen mode the video gets struck while the audio goes on fine.Then the video needs to be minimized and on making it full screen,the same problem happens again during the play and i have to minimize and make it full screen again (and put the position slider back to catch the missed video part).Its weird that there is no problem if the video is in normal mode.I am using opera,firefox and IE and all have the same problem.Any help will be appereciated.

Would like some assistance. I have a friend who is having an error when he connects to the internet.  He has contacted his ISP and they have told him he is connected to the internet and possibly it was the Firewall 'On line Armour'.  Well I have just come back from being away and told him to delete the Firewall.  This he has done and still he gets the message.  Any ideas what this could be and how to resolve it??

When I log on, I get the windows' message: "Sereniti Active Security..."

No matter what I click on, I get the next message: Error  "failed to load score.dll" and I get this message twice.

After that, things work fine.  Any thoughts?

I have been experimenting with Linux and the latest one is Mint.  After a few weeks it has become like all the others I have tried, gone into silly mode.  In other words the Linux bugs have defeted me.  Yeh, I have no idea what I am doing to a point but I like to see how things tick and try different combinations etc, Linux hates it and usually throws a wobbly and it has done in this case.  I thought I was doing well with this, but I can't gain access, it only opens up to a comand basis that asks me for my name and password.  Thats it!!  I need to gain access t
