Anti virus scanners

my freinds computer  is infected with viruses n spyware. it would neither boot in safe mode

i just need it to cure his system

which is the best bootable antivrus disk.

I don't have money to buy antivirus softwares , can anybody tell me about the antivirus software which is free and best.

i own a pc which runs on windows "vista"..

i hav NOD-32 version 2.7 as my antivirus scanner..

but it lacks a suitable firewall and anti-spyware..no intrusion alert n all..

so can u recommend a freeware for VISTA tat has antivirus+antispyware+firewall..

Hi everybody,

I am havnig Avast 4.8 home edition on my sys.  Whenever i startup windows, it is showing a message as:Sign of "Win32:Trojan-gen {other} has been found in "C:\windows\Fonts\Framdee.ttf" file and Avast is asking me to delete it. 

I really don't have any idea about this virus and how can it affect my PC.

Hi people I am looking to run an AV tool on at least 4 family computers 3 = xp  1 = vista

i would like to have real time protection and email scanner  we currently use a combination of Avast, Super Antispyware,spybot and comodo BOclean,but i still feel unprotected. I dont mind paying for something that will do the trick as long as it can be used on all pc's with one purchase, or a free one that will do the trick,any ideas

Why not recommend a suite of security programs to be used together not just single programs
