The light version of xplorer2 is a freebie but if you like it you will probably considering upgrading to the $30 Pro version which adds additional features such as the ability to customize commands.

Xplorer2 is a bit "old school." The GUI is not flashy and pretty, but the application is extremely powerful. There is excellent tech support at the forum

Looks great, but...
I download the pro version (trial) and was not able to use EditPad Lite, my default text editor. When I uninstalled xplorer2, EditPat Lite worked fine. AND: although I can't be sure it's due to xplorer2, my normal.dot for Word 2003 became corrupted at the same time. Hope I'm wrong about the associations.

Gee, I'd heard of GameDuJour, but BitsDuJour is new to me. I will add it to my RSS feed.
Too bad $15 is more than I'd care to pay for a product like this.
This is hands down the most feature packed Windows file manager. I have used it for many years and still discover new things about it. If you push your computer to the limits you will appreciate it. If you only surf, do IM, email, Twitter, then you don't need it.
