Watch this Video for an Excellent Introduction to Windows 8

If you are used to previous versions of Windows, Windows 8 looks like a great big mystery when you first encounter it. Here’s one way to take some of that mystery away.

Microsoft employee Scott Hanselman has created an introductory video about using Windows 8 and has posted it at his blog. The video is 25 minutes long and is well done. It provides a clear feeling for the new ways of doing things in Windows 8 and also helps the viewer to understand what some of the advantages of Windows 8 might be. One thing that makes this video especially useful as an introduction is that it uses mouse and keyboard throughout.

You will still have work to do before you understand Windows 8 but viewing this video is a good place to start. Even if you don’t think you are interested in Windows 8, this video is useful because it gives an indication of how computer interfaces are changing.

The video can be viewed at this link.
