Wallpaper of the Week (Awesome Abandoned Vintage Red Pickup Truck)
This weeks wallpaper is a terrific vintage red (1920's?) GMC pickup truck abandoned on a desert plain at the feet of some jagged mountains. The image has quite a bit of color variation but I didn't have any difficulty seeing my desktop icons.

Somewhere you guys missed the point. Its a nice pic of an old PU in a field. If you don't like it, move on.
Thanks rhiannon, I think its cool.
@Rich M; It's a great pic. I'm sorry I didn't make it clearer that Tap Dancin' Mouse and I were bantering - it goes back to a wallpaper I posted where I used the word whimsical to describe it and then had a few requests for more "manly" (read: not whimsical) wallpaper.
Thank you for your support and, I'm really glad you like the wallpaper. =)
You might start with some Marshmallow Fluff and some peanut butter.
It's not very "whimsical".
@Tap Dancin' Mouse; Are you sure? 'Cause I was really trying for whimsical here. =)
I have an old Ford pickup, maybe if I took it somewhere fluffy and took a picture I could get it to look whimsical.
Fluff...things go better with fluff.
@Tap Dancin' Mouse; Hmmmm, I never thought of it that way. I'd have to go a long way to find some fluff, but I'll keep my eyes peeled. =)
Not to worry. You pass the hat around and have everyone check their navels. You might bet more fluff than you bargained for.
It's a 1948-1953, not that it really matters. lol 1947 was completely different and the 1954 had chrome under the headlights.
Looks more like the 40's or early 50's perhaps?
@paulreon; Could be - I'm not that familiar with old vehicles.
"I'm not that familiar with old vehicles". I am, I see one looking back at me most mornings from the mirror. :D This looks like a 1950 GMC FC101 if I'm not mistaken.
I think so. Is any of these GMC 1950 vehicles still running on the road?
What's the point? They can only haul up to 1500 lbs, and with their 6 cylinder motor top speed is 60 mph. Almost as fast as a 1953 Ford 3/4 with a flathead V8 in an eigthth mile.
