FROM VISTA TO XP
GUYS I NEED YOUR HELP
i have bought a laptop with vista premium.i tried to put win xp (i have
them original ).even if they play the issue is that the noise in my laptop
increased ,maybe from the fan.i dont have addi6tional info to give i know
,but is it possible the mothrboard to be compatible only with vista?i have
the drivers for xp the company from which i bought thye laptop also
provided me drivers for xp.i also have the vista cd from them.but i dont
understand the noise and the overall performance wasnt good.do you have any
info to give me?thanks in advance!

i prefer vista why not just use that? why does everyone want xp?
Check your Power settings (under Control Panel). It may be that everything is set to Fast or High, which increases the heat, which makes the fans run faster, which generates more noise. See if you can tone down the power consumption a bit. That should reduce the noise.
The speed issue can be a lot of other things, including running malware and unnecessary programs or services. Use one of the tune-up tools found on this website to see if it will increase the speed for you.
Dual boot Vista-XP is one way to do it, although that installation order is problematic, another way, if you have the ram, and you should have, is to virtualize XP, using, for instance, Virtualbox.
