Subscribe to our vista copying limation in large file path/name

Hi,
Tired of slipping a file to shorter path, then another, then to final place. This is how I do a copy sometimes when vista do a pop up msg that file name or path too long. Is there a utility I can use when vista decides to be cranky.
Now, transfering folder in files from app/roaming/xyz/complete to another multipath folder destination. In some cases, I get that pop up msg. Ahy help appreciated like a better utility or easier solution. tx
Editr: utility to replace ivsta copy due to limitation to traverse a large path name. Or any software to use. tx and happy holidays..
Surely this is pathetic for an operation system and Microsoft should be producing the solution?
