virus took out my admin rights and control panel

I cought a virus but it had done some damage. It took my single user pc with xp pro and changed the admin rights so that I can't get to them even in safe mode. Also took out the control panel so i can't add or remove software. Help....

I do have other computers. I can find no infection using all the software suggested and I still have no control panel and every time i try to do anything it tells me to talk to my administrator that this computer I do not have permission to use this feature. jm

Hi

So is your computer STILL infected? Do you have another computer? Do you have an image backup?

If you do, you can download DrWeb Cureit, SUPERAntiSpyware free and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware free, put it on a USB and run it in the order I put.

If that doesn't work, you could try AntiVir's Live CD, though I haven't tried it personally.
