Two add-ons I really like...

Two add-ons I really like are QuickProxy which gives me a little icon in my status bar to turn my proxy on / off for when I bring my computer home from work, and FoxyClocks which gives me multiple time zones also in my status bar. I have two visible all the time, and if I hover over that part of the status bar, my whole list of 15 or so international times I have to deal with at work pops up.

AdBlock plus is my number one must have.

Both of those are rather unusual demands, and are hardly mainstream.
I'd concentrate on the "number one must have" s.
