Tweak Your Monitors Settings

Note: The website and product mentioned below is unfortunately no longer available.  We would suggest checking out an alternative website here that has a number of the same features.  http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/

ScreenFix.net allows people to get the best settings from their monitor. It uses a range of tests. It also allows people to fix stuck pixels. It's all online and free.

Editors note:  This item was probably submitted by the site owner but that doesn't diminish the fact that there is some useful content here. In essence the site provides six different tests that allow you to tune your monitor performance:

  • Gamma checker
  • Phasing checker
  • Brightness checker
  • Flicker fixer
  • Dead pixel fixer
  • TN Monitor check

These vary in usefulness and are available individually at other sites anyway but the fact they are brought together in a simple easy-to-use format in a single location warrants inclusion in our Hot Finds.

The ScreenFix.net domain is dead now, unfortunately, now in the hands of dead-domain-marketers.

You forgot to put up a seizure warning/disclaimer for the "dead/stuck pixel fixer."

Say, that's pretty handy. I'm almost afraid to review the digital photos I color-tweaked last month, I bet they look different now!

Good find, DanClarke90. Thanks!
