Track Malware Around The Globe

Interested in knowing what creepy crawlies have recently been unleashed upon unsuspecting computers worldwide? Have a look at this site.

Malware City is a website maintained to provide useful information for all those interested in malware and anti-malware software.
If you like to keep up with the latest bots, worms, and software security vulnerabilities this site is for you.
If you enjoy maps, the map of realtime global virus reports might be interesting.

The news section alone is worth a visit, between the main articles and the categories you get a wide overview of what's going on.
After doing some reading at this site you might feel a wee bit uneasy. You could have thoughts such as "ohmigosh, I better get this puppy locked down behind a large fortress as fast as I can" followed by a little panic wondering how safe your wireless network is (that is, if you have one and are the lucky soul in charge of wireless security).

Malware City is an initiative for the software security community and a free resource for those interested in online security sponsored by BitDefender.
Full Disclosure: BitDefender maintains an online security scanner at the site though they don't push it - you need Internet Explorer to use it. I haven't used it, but BitDefender has an overall good reputation. Use at your own risk.

I visit the site for the news and the blogs. The security alerts section is my favorite.
