Cam to Scan free July 5 ONLY on Give Away Of The Day (GOTD)

Here's a slightly unusual freebie from GOTD. Cam to Scan is designed to do one sort of image editing task. Namely, to straighten up or remove lens distortion from your photographic images.  Basically, it helps you get towers and other things up straight (if they weren't leaning for centuries anyway!). The developers even claim the program will let you get rid of fish eye lens effects.

This could be a handy tool. Expect some learning curve.

From the developer's description:

Cam to Scan is a comprehensive solution for optimizing photographed documents, images or displays and for correcting certain types of photographic distortions.

Photographed documents are always somewhat distorted and often also too dark. Cam to Scan straightens the document to its original rectangular shape and optimizes the brightness. Also large format templates or ones that cannot be scanned by conventional means, can be captured in an instant.

Using Cam to Scan, it is also possible to correct perspective distortion (keystoning) and lens distortion.

Comment #12 contains a very positive review from a user who seems to know their way around image editing software.
