Who knew there were so many sites and programs to grab a screenshot?
Design blog hongkiat.com has rolled out a list of over 40 techniques and tools to get the job done.
The great thing about this list is that there are tools for everyone - Cross platform, Windows only, Linux, Mac only, web based tools, and a couple of Firefox addons. There are links to three helpful articles at the end of the list.
The tools are all free, though a few have Pro version upgrades if you are so inclined.
One of the links was to a direct download (Snippy), and two links weren't working when I visited their respective pages (ScreenPrint32 and Superscreenshot)

To copy protect screen capture or Printscreen the program Copysafe is often used, for such things as wedding pictures on a CD from a commercial artist, or photos on a commercial website. The only program I found to bypass this protection is 1AVCapture, which is not freeware. Are there any others, especially freeware?
