Re recording command window TEXT into Txt file

Hello All,

While my program(which receives  Data continously) is running in command window (MS-Dos prompt) , hundreds of lines are written into command window, continously scrolling..once done, i am able to view only the last page of my execution..

I thought of then recording the complete process into txt file using following command into SEPARATE COMMAND WINDOW (abc.exe=is already running and recvng data)

abc.exe > myrecording.txt

where abc.exe = my software which runs and continously receives data..

       > REcord & store the lines

myrecording.txt = where the recording is done

UNFORTUNATELY THE ABOVE DOESNT WORK

when i stop the abc.exe file and then use abc.exe > myrecording.txt...its works, but i am not sure if the complete data is written

Any ideas, suggestions ?

Thanks

Regulus_83 :)

What is your OS and what is the program you're running? You found a solution, I understand, but how should we know if all the data are written if you do not talk about the program?

Maybe you want to be a more specific and contact me/us directly?
