Thanks. Peter
Jason,
I have the opposite. editpadlite followed by tinyspell.
I use spelling errors big time. lol but how do you use the hotkey Ctrl +
I can't use but one hand.
Can you use another key? I can use Cut & Paste.
I can uninstall editpadlite and leave tinyspell. Then reinstall editpadlite if it works.

I repeated the procedure and encountered one problem:
I could not persuade TinySpell to do anything. So I rightclicked on the
and found the default settings
not working. So I changed the settings to the second option
and [add]ed EditPadLite.exe. I closed both applications and started anew - both work fine now.
I do not know why you need to use that editor, but if you're looking for a quick writing tool or crave to insert html-code where no editor is provided, I recommend ScribeFire and using the FF3 inbuilt spellchecker.
christopher,
I don't use anything but text. Sorry.
What do you call [system tray icon -> applications]? I have Start then a bunch of applications on the bottom, and again on the desktop on the left. I use XP2 home and a AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core processor.

Johnboy :)
When you start TinySpell you find a little picture (icon) in the system tray in the taskbar. Usually you find the taskbar at the bottom of your screen - but you can move it to all the sides of the screen which you might have done without asking me ;)
There you will find little pictures/symbols (icons) of some active programs at the right end of that bar. ("bunch of applications on the bottom" <- could be it)When TinySpell is running - that is after you started it - you fill find that icon there and you can navigate your mousepointer over that symbol and use the right mouse button - which is called rightclick. Then you will see a popup menu with various options amongst those 'applications'. There you will find the options described...
If you're only writing normal text, have a look at ScribeFire...
I've just installed both programs, then started tinyspell followed by
editpadlite and it worked without any problems at all.
I started typing in Edit Pad Lite, and it detected deliberate spelling
errors - and popped up a list of suggested corrections when I pressed
the hotkey Ctrl + ; - I'm not too sure what the problem is - unless the
user is wanting to know how to open the online help for TinySpell (right
click on system tray icon - select Help).
Jason.
