Partition manager

I want the best free partition manager that will allow me to resize my c: drive without removing or losing the data in that drive.  (My hard disk is partitioned into two drives with Windows 2000.  C drive is FAT and D drive is NTFS.)  I have seen names such as Cute Partition Manager, Easeus Partition Manager and Super Fdisk.  Are any of these recommended?

I prefer EASEUS... It is ease to use and works perfect...

Neither use gparted or cute.
I alway go with EASEUS. It works perfect for me and is easy to use.

You could use the 'GParted' bootable disc; more info at http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php

parted magic uses gparted as its base and adds a few extra tools to the mix and a slightly modified gui but either one is good.

Yes, I agree, Parted Magic as a project is much more interesting than GParted, but I wouldn't say it's for the begginer providing the majority of features in Parted Magic are only acessible through terminal, and most Windows users don't have enought Unix training.

Actually Easeus Partition Manager free seems to work very well. I did not use it extensively, but I was short of space in my middle partition and I did not want to resize the end partition. So I resize C:\ in my Vista 32-bit and aplied a MOVE WITH RESIZE on E:\ without an issue. No need for offline management.

I use Parted Magic. www.partedmagic.com It is a bootable CD that does pretty much anything and everything Partition magic can and its completely free.

Btw, EASEUS Partition Manager Home Edition looks reliable.

Usually I use Windows Diskpart command line, but I have no idea if it exists on 2000.

That won't do a system partition.

Sorry, previously I posted a wrong command. Here's how to create a primary partition:

create partition primary [size=] [offset=] [id={byte|guid}] [align=] [noerr]

No doubt GUI apps like Gparted or Easeus are far more easy and intuitive to use.

create partition efi [size=] [offset=] [noerr]
