While I have no experience with any of these products, I'm sure that some of you might be interested in a free security suite (free after rebate that is).

It's ironic that this is listed today, the day I gave up on Panda! I have Panda Global Protection 2009 purchased in a store.

Initially it seemed to work fairly well, then it started blocking my desktop computer from getting on the internet. I finally was able to solve the problem, but again Panda wasn't much help as even though I made certain it was supposed to ask for permission it didn't.

My laptop has become catatonic. I've tried everything to fix it. I think Panda is the problem. Their website isn't very helpful. They demand that you read all the posts and blogs before listing your problem. There is no one to email...or care...that your computer is so sluggish that you don't want to waste more unnecessary hours fixing a problem caused by their software. I've tried checking for viruses, etc etc. The main error seems to be Sentinel which I believe is caused by Panda and if not, then they didn't catch it, fix it or remove it.

Safe mode works well; but, of course, won't let me remove Panda. I've spent most of the day trying to remove it. I'm trying to turn the computer off now, but its another 45 minute process to turn it off after I give up.

My desktop has the free download of Avast and never has the problems the laptop does. If and when I finally get rid of Panda, I'm going to put Avast on it and pray.

I agree with #1 I have this crummy suite at work and it takes forever to get someone to respond your problem. Truly took over a week to get a response from anyone, that was only because I called and talked to SOMEONE IN HUMAN RESOURCES, because I couldn't get help. Do your self a favor don't get it even if it is free. Not worth the headache!
