Outstanding Free Clipart

Its hard to find good quality clipart on the internet. Searching will get you loads of results, leaving you to check a list of sites numbering in the thousands (or more). Here's a site that shines in terms of quality and variety of Clipart.

WPClipart is a collection of high-quality artwork and photos optimized for use with word processors and inkjet printers.
It has thousands of color graphic clips, illustrations, photographs, and black and white line art. Nearly all are in lossless, PNG format.
I was impressed by the range and quality, and snagged several for my own files.
All the artwork is beautifully organized into folders and sub-folders, and the whole site is easy to navigate.

This site is safe for children (and others) to find quailty images with no copyright restrictions that can be used for printing or word processing.
The entire collection can be downloaded as a package or in parts. Included in the download is the useful (but not necessary) viewer/editor.
Images can be integrated into Open Office using the windows installer or the image only file, directions are available at the site.
In addition to Windows, there is an installer and a stand alone image file for Linux.

The site also provides html code for each image, to link to it without downloading it. Navigate the site by browsing, for the most reliable results; use the search for a shortened list of randomized results if you feel lucky. While most of the folders are grouped by subject, there's one top-level folder for small icons, with subject-based sub-folders. All of the images are free, with no registration.
