A New Routine to Read News Using this Great App

Pulse News IconPulse NewsGone are the days when you would wake up in the morning, go to the door, and collect the newspaper. At least the guys at Alphonso Labs think so. They've made a new routine for you—get up, pick your mobile device, do a swipe and a tap. And you’ve got your newspaper in your hands.

This is in fact what I do every morning, thanks to this free and fantastic app Pulse News, which won the Apple Design Awards for 2011.

Download it, tap, and you’re greeted on a handwritten page with some simple guides, like slide right to view news, upwards to view sources.

Viewing news is pretty simple in this app—just tap the news and it’s displayed. The news you have viewed appears in a dim shade, and vice versa. You can tap the Settings icon to customize pages, and tap the Plus button to add a new page.

Adding sources of news are really simple too—browse the catalog or choose a pack. Simple as that. If the app finds the resources in a page similar to a topic, it gives the page that particular name. A time saver!

Now, if you’re viewing a news, just slide right and left to view the previous and the next posts respectively.

This app has a friendly user interface complete with the best list of resources. You can select what you want from the list, or type in some text to search for your local news resources where available. It's a great replacement for newspaper. And trust me, it really feels good.
