Learn a Language for Free
LiveMocha bills itself as the social way to learn a language. Their system combines self paced lessons, a interactive community with tutors and the ability to talk to native speakers around the world.
Right now they support 11 languages, but it appears they are getting ready to add some.
The program is still in beta (has been for a while) and as of now everything on the site is free. In the future they plan to be a pay site with some free.
If you have any interest in learning a new language and the opportunity to meet people from around the world, then now would be the time to check out LiveMocha.

The problem is the translation to Languages like Greek..Babel fish works not so perfect, but its an alternative
There are a couple of really good sites...
www.coffeebreakspanish.com
and
www.coffeebreakfrench.com
Both of them offer a series of downloadable 15 minute lessons, and both are free although there is additional paid content available
Here is another excellent website for learnign free lanugages

This looks a good well presented site ...........thanks a lot.
French......i'ts not an easy language because the pronunciation bears no resemblance to the spelling!!
So...does anyone know of a proper freeware translation site that would deal with scanning ?
We are British and living in Brittany.......and the French household bills, changes, updates, taxes, etc
are a nightmare to decipher !......usually resulting in pestering one of our great, english speaking, French neighbours.
Cheers
