Got Knots?

Find wonderful animations of how to tie almost any knot at this site

I think I've found knot nirvana at this site.
It has the best animations of how to tie knots I've ever seen, using real line and color animation.

This site doesn't have just a few knots. It has bunches of knots indexed to the knots usually needed for certain activities.
There are knots for fishing, boating, search and rescue, scouting, climbing, decorative knots, and more.
There's a page on Knot Terminology that's interesting.

The knot animations can be viewed one step at a time by mousing over the numbers under the photo, or, you can view the animated version automatically.
If you view them automatically you can speed up or slow down the animations with the buttons at right.

One page outlines knot safety and security; why certain knots are used, and more important, which one's you don't want to use in certain circumstances.

The site author has published a CD-ROM on knots and sells wear pads. That information is not intrusive, and other than that and a rather oddly placed text ad, there are no other other ads.

I guess this 'heuristic' alert could be linked to the sophisticated animations - very likely a false positive.

Can't understand this at all. I think it must be some kind of a false positive.

The site - animated knots.com - gets a green light from MacAfee SiteAdvisor, WOT and several other web safety services.

Perfect timing! A friend showed me how he ties his shoes so they don't come untied ever. I forgot, but the knot is on the site! Thanks!

An old sailor once told me, "If you can't tie knots, tie lots!"
