Google Maps is Now Also Available for your iPhone

When Apple released the iOS 6, a new version of the iOS mobile operating system, back in September 2012, it also introduced the its own Maps app to replace the previous Google Maps-based app.
This replacement faced with widespread criticism as Apple's Maps app was found by users to contain inaccurate or incomplete data, also shared by our editor Robert in this article "iOS 6 Is Out. It Works Well, Except For The Maps". The flaws in the Maps resulted in Apple's CEO issuing a public letter apologizing for the frustration caused by the app.
The good news is that, before Apple makes its Maps app better, we now have a choice of installing Google Maps app from Apple's App Store. It runs on iOS 5.1 or later, a 6.7 MB download, and has been optimized for iPhone 5 with a slightly longer screen.
Most features in Google Maps for the Android version are made available in this app for the iOS. These include local search, voice guided turn-by-turn navigation, public transit direction, street view and more.
Give this app a try on your mobile device, in particular if you own an iPhone and have not been happy with Apple's Maps app.
A version for the iPad is not yet available though you can still run it in 1x or 2x scalable mode, as do all iPhone apps on the iPad.

I'm confused as to why this is linked under "Android App of the Week"?
Google Maps is available for both the iPhone and Android devices.
