Google Code University
Brush up on current technologies or learn something new
Google has put together a variety of material for this site, with contributed course content in the form of video lectures, slides and tutorials.
Some of the material is from well known universities, some from Google and other resources.
The focus on the site is to help Computer Science students and educators learn about current technologies and to provide course content for educators. I found some of the material educational and interesting; the rest I'll leave to you coders to look at. The content is Creative Commons licensed.
Here's the list of courses offered:
- Programming Languages (Python Design Patterns is not the designs found on snakes of the same name)
- Ajax
- Algorithms
- Distributed Systems
- Web Security (Do I even want to know how to break web software?)
There's a Tools 101 section and a Curriculum Resources page. The Curriculum Resources page has some interesting sites.
Signing off,
Rhiannon
