Get A Free Game From Game Giveaway of the Day

Most of us have heard of the site Giveaway of the Day (GAOTD), some of us have used it, and from time to time one of their giveaways will show up here.

If you like games, they now have another site: Game Giveaway of the Day.

The site doesn't give a game a day away as originally thought. Our commenters say once a week. Thanks for that new information.

Looks like there's a variety of games on the site so you might want to keep an eye on it - if you see a game you like you'll need to grab it as programs are only available on the day they are featured.

According to WhiteRabbit, there's acually "no game giveaway for a while".

In the meantime, you'll find a host of free games posted here:

Thanks Bob!

Do they have a game given away every day then?

normally Saturdays and Sundays of late (though last weekend nothing for some reason)

yup unfortunately
the game with that turtle or something was really good
Kids would love them!

Selected freeware games (not time-limited offers) sometimes also get posted on Give Away of the Day by the site's 'Games Guru', Stephen, who also goes under the name of WhiteRabbit. A forum page contains links to some of them:

The list hasn't been updated for a while [but see below]. Perhaps WhiteRabbit's been busy ;)

*UPDATE*
And here's the complete list:

It does appear to be on Saturdays and Sundays, with the exception of last weekend, when it doesn't appear that anything was released.

Actually you are all wrong. Originally it was everyday of the week but due to issues it was only done 2 times a week. Every Saturday and Sunday. Thats how it is now. All things released are for 1 24 hour period from the time they are released.

Actually its twice a week and from my knowledge most of the games are clean of malware.

P.S. Its only on weekends

No, it's weekly. Try gamehouse.com
There are also sites like gametop.com that offers free commercial games, but whenever you close one, your browser opens.

I don't think they offer daily

Looking at the site, I can't find where they mention how often they release games. If its not daily then they might want to change the name of the site to be a wee bit more accurate. = )

It does not matter how often they release games. The releases are still for only a 24-hour period, hence the name of the site.
