Get a $40 DVD Slideshow Creator For Free Until December 7th
Wondershare are giving away free software licences to celebrate the Thanksgiving season in the USA. Until December 7th, you can get a free copy of DVD Slideshow Builder, which turns a collection of your digital photos into a DVD that can play on any standard DVD player or computer.
The program normally costs $39.95, so a free licence is somewhat of a bargain.
To download it, head to http://www.wondershare.com/topic/thanksgiving/giveaway.html.
You'll need a Facebook account in order to sign in and take advantage of the offer. Sorry if Facebook isn't your thing, but that's the deal on offer and you are welcome to accept or reject it.
The download file, which should run on all recent versions of Windows, is 36 MB. That's too large for VirusTotal to check, but my up-to-date copy of Sophos reckons it's clean.
If you're a Mac user, don't feel left out. Wondershare are also giving away copies of iCollage for Mac, which lets you create wallpapers, greeting cards, scrapbooks and more. Details are also on the above link.

I logged into facebook. When I click on the link provided, I get a quick display and then display goes away and Giveaway section is blank. I am able to look at other sections like the the wall. I added to comments about others having same issue on wall.
Using WinXP and IE8. Any Ideas or is there an issue with facebook Giveaway section.

I was using Windows XP with Internet Explorer 8.
I Downloaded Mozilla Firefox portable and used it to log into facebook and was able to get code and download Setup file.
For some reason, the site is not working properly with IE8, because I tried several computers with IE 8 and got same results. When I used Firefox on same computers it worked fine.
Coincidently, Wondershare is also offering their Video Converter Platinum version 5.1.4 for free for only a few more hours at.....

You posted the link to Giveaway, where Wondershare Video Converter was being offered... which is not the same product featured on this article, which you claimed it to be. Therefore, it was removed.

This is utter garbage. Don't bother. Malware.
It's not malware, but it is certainly garbage - unless you like hokey, childish, overproduced slideshows.
I couldn't download the product key because there was no way to fill out the requested fields. Then after a little bit, I got an error message. Maybe you should withdraw this freebie until they get their act in order.

Probably very nice, but I quit Facebook - *never* going back there. Not even for a freebie.
If they can't do a straight giveaway, or provide alternatives like Twitter or Google+, they can keep it.
I can live without a slideshow creator, good as it may be.
I logged on to Facebook and typed in my email address for the Wondershare Slideshow Builder. No joy, no return email with code. Any ideas how i could get this. Many thanks.

ChronicChaos' notes are no help at all. He seems to think that our error message from Wondershare is due to our stupidity. NO SO!
There is a genuine problem out there.

ChronicChaos' comments are not related to your issue, but to the general complainers about such offers.
To be precise, I was commenting about the usual/general complainers about offers through Facebook....not Wondershare (although it appears some are having issues). Sorry Bill if I wasn't clear enough and I hope I have provided clarity now to my original comment.
The download seems to work, but when I click on Send Me My Passcode, I get "We're sorry, but something went wrong. We've been notified about this issue and we'll take a look at it shortly."

Great find for those that might have a use for a DVD slideshow creator. Too bad it's only a matter of time before you have those that think this site exist solely for their own purposes and they start crying about needing a facebook account.
For those that can't think for yourself, create a temporary fake account and get this offer if you want it. If it's a 'security' issue, get a decent security program before worrying about downloading anything from anywhere.
