If you're an avid reader, Moon+ Reader is an excellent app to turn your Android device into an ebook reader at no extra cost.

It's one of my favorite ebook readers among others that I've tried on my Android device.

With this app, you can look for ebooks stored in your device or SD card, tap Net Library to search and download free ebooks from the Internet, and organize them in an elegant book shelf.

When you open an ebook, the app turns to the page automatically where you last left off. It allows you to bookmark a page, touch and hold to highlight words, add a note, look up word definitions from a dictionary, copy and share your selected passages with friends through email or messaging straight from the app.

Besides supporting multiple languages in the user interface, Moon+ Reader has various themes, brightness adjustments, page turning animations, and many other visual and control options that you can set to your liking.

You can use this app to read ebooks in ePub, txt, html, chm, fb2 and other formats but unfortunately pdf format is not supported. This is a free version supported by small ads but I don't find them intrusive.
