Free Mac Video Software Giveaway Is Now On

Last week I told you about a forthcoming software giveaway for Mac users.  Well, the day has arrived.

Head over to http://www.iskysoft.com/itube-studio-mac/giveaway.html, where you can download iTube Studio and apply for a free licence code.  The program normally sells for $29, but if you supply your email address on that page while the offer is running, over the next 3 days, you'll get a free licence.

iTube Studio lets you download video from sites such as Youtube, and then convert the files to play on your Apple devices such as iPod, iPad and iPhone. It's a 13 MB download.

Just a reminder, this is a Mac program rather than a PC/Windows one.  Not being a Mac user myself, I have not been able to test this program.  However, it comes from a respected company whose programs and offers have been featured on Tech Support Alert before.  Also, I have downloaded the installer and checked it with Virus Total, and all appears to be clean.

Come on People.. The author has already said as far as they know it contains no virus or malware, The rest is up to you.
I am just thankful that Mac users like myself get included in the Hot Finds.
I check my own system and downloads for viruses and malware, Its my own responsibility not the sites and its just nice they even tried to scan a none windows file anyway.

Regards and keep up the mac finds.

I appreciate your efforts. But iskysoft is not a respected company. Also, does VirusTotal scan for Mac malware or just Windows? Or do you know?

Hi, this is Catherine writing on behalf of iSkysoft. We value User Experience very much. Every product has been tested before being put into market. There is no virus or malware. So just enjoy the giveaway! Thanks.

Hello,

The website that we are directed to to get this offer is rated green in the Web of Trust.

It is a .com website. There is another iskysoft .net website that is rated red by Web of Trust.

I have used Gizmo for years and have never had any issues with the software recommended by them.

Cheers,

Paul
